CEO Financial Performance Index Available

CHICAGO, Feb. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The results of a national study on CEO Sentiment for 2025 are now available in a published report by the Chief Executives Council. The research calculates the annual CEO Financial Performance Index (FPI), and CEO Spending Index (CSI) that identifies benchmark trends and sentiments that support strategy and planning.

The CEO 2025: Outlook & Sentiment Study was conducted in November 2024 thru January 2025 via a national survey of CEOs, Presidents, and related titles. The study identified"confident" outlooks for financial metrics, hiring and technology investment; along with "cautiously optimistic" spending priorities. A CEO Financial Performance Index (FPI) of 145% was reinforced by 66% of respondents predicting increased revenue in 2025. A CEO Spending Index (CSI) of 105% was driven by 32% of respondents increasing spend in 2025.

Other topics in the study included hybrid work environment plans, hiring priorities, AI and technology implementation plans, and the "what keeps you up at night, greatest concerns" barometer question.

"The CEO 2025 study uncovered a 'confident' outlook on company financial performance, along with a 'optimistic' spending sentiment during rapidly changing economic, political and geopolitical environments," states Neil Brown, CEO, Chief Executives Council. "The study report offers insights that will help C-Suite executives navigate 2025 and beyond."

The study and webcast were produced by the Chief Executives Council, a community and platform for C-Suite executives focused on best practice resources, career development and training, peer networking, recognition and more.
