Harmelin Media Selected by CIDOT for U.S. Media Planning & Buying
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ --Following a competitive procurement process, the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) has named Harmelin Media as its Agency of Record for U.S. media planning and buying. Harmelin will provide strategic guidance, data-driven insights, and execute advertising campaigns across digital, print, broadcast, and streaming platforms.
"In an evolving U.S. media landscape, it is critical to understand not only where potential visitors consume media, but also how to reach them at every step of the decision-making process," said Rosa Harris, CIDOT's Director of Tourism. "Harmelin's deep understanding of the U.S. consumer will be crucial in refining our advertising strategy to maintain the Cayman Islands as a premier travel destination."
Harris emphasized Harmelin's technological expertise as a key factor in its selection. "Harmelin's Harmonee data analysis platform offers sophisticated market intelligence to transform CIDOT's media strategy. Their investment in advanced technology, combined with an in-house team led by a Chief of Technology and a Director of Digital Services, gave them a competitive advantage." She added, "This data-driven approach will help refine our U.S. media strategy, identify untapped audiences, and drive incremental visitor growth to the Cayman Islands."
Mary Meder, President of Harmelin Media, expressed great enthusiasm for the partnership. "Through this process, Harmelin has fallen in love with the Cayman Islands, and we are honored to help increase visitation to this dynamic destination. Our Helix analytics platform will integrate CIDOT's customs and arrival data with public travel sources to hyper-target audiences with the right messaging, in the right places, at the right times."
Meder highlighted Harmelin's track record in boosting tourism for destinations. "Our experience in visitor growth strategies will be a tremendous asset to CIDOT. We take seriously the responsibility of ensuring every media dollar is maximized for impact, helping the Cayman Islands attract more travelers and extend their length of stay."
This collaboration marks a strategic step forward for CIDOT, aiming to deploy an innovative, data-driven media plan that strengthens the Cayman Islands' position as a top destination for U.S. travelers.
