Local 1932 Successfully Organizes Third Water Agency in California's Low Desert

INDIO, Calif., March 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ --In a significant victory for communities in the Low Desert, workers at the Indio Water Authority (IWA) have voted overwhelmingly to join Teamsters Local 1932.

These new IWA Teamsters play a critical role in delivering clean, reliable water to the residents and businesses of Indio. Their decision to stand together and unionize ensures that they have a collective voice to advocate for the fair treatment and workplace protections they deserve.
