WHO:VetsinTech, the leading national non-profit dedicated to supporting veterans through tech-based programs and opportunities in education, employment, and entrepreneurship, in collaboration with its tech employer partners.

WHAT: The Fed Vets-to-Tech Initiative, a new program designed to transition veterans formerly employed by the federal government, and recently laid off, into high-demand, private-sector cybersecurity and tech roles. This initiative complements a new, generous $1 million grant from Craig Newmark that is dedicated to training veterans in cybersecurity positions.

WHEN: The program launches immediately. Veterans can also learn about education opportunities and employment at the virtual VetsinTech National Conference "The Invasion" on Thursday, March 27th, 2025.

WHY: With the U.S. facing a severe cybersecurity workforce shortage and with foreign cyber threats on a steep rise, this initiative bridges the growing talent gap by leveraging recently laid off veterans' existing leadership experience, security clearances, and technical expertise.
