Official Update: Yosemite National Park Announces Reservations for Summer 2025
OAKHURST, Calif., April 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Yosemite National Park officially announced a more flexible peak-hours reservation system for the summer season 2025. To help you plan ahead, reservations are only required to drive through or enter the park during select high-demand dates:
May 24 - 26 (Memorial Day Weekend) 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
June 15 - August 15 (daily) 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
August 30 - September 1 (Labor Day Weekend) 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
No summer reservations are required from May 27 to June 14 and August 16 to 29.
Reservations can be purchased on Recreation.gov starting Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 8:00 am PDT. (Tip: Be logged into your account and ready to purchase before 8:00 am.) Additional reservations will be released 7 days in advance, also at 8:00 am PDT. Each reservation is $2 (non-refundable) and is valid for three consecutive days. Reservations are not required if you have booked lodging, campsites, or vacation rentals inside Yosemite, have a wilderness or Half Dome permit, or utilize the Yosemite Area Regional Transit System (YARTS Bus) or a guided tour.
The southern gateway to Yosemite National Park makes it easier than ever to explore one of America's most iconic destinations without the hassle. Avoid the reservation process and the search for parking by booking a guided tour; most will pick you up at your hotel. There is a guided experience that matches every interest and activity preference.
