Partners in Pediatrics Notifies Individuals of Data Security Incident
DENVER, Oct. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Partners in Pediatrics ("PIP") is providing notice of a recent data security incident that may have involved personal and/or protected health information. PIP takes the privacy and security of all information within its possession very seriously. PIP has sent notice of this incident to potentially affected individuals and provided resources to assist them.
In March 2025, PIP became aware of unusual activity involving a PIP employee email account. PIP immediately started an investigation using independent experts to assist. The investigation revealed that some emails within the email account could have been accessed or acquired without authorization in March 2025. PIP then worked to determine whose information was potentially involved in the incident and identify contact information needed to provide notice, which process concluded on September 23, 2025. At that time, PIP arranged to provide notice to potentially affected individuals with an available mailing address.
Based on PIP's review of the potentially affected data, the following information for current and former patients may have been involved in the incident: name; date of birth; Social Security number; driver's license number; clinical or treatment information, including lab results, prescription information, and/or provider information; and/or health insurance information. Of note, not all information was involved for all individuals.
As soon as PIP discovered this incident, PIP took the steps described above and are reviewing existing policies and procedures and implementing enhanced security measures to reduce the likelihood of a similar incident occurring in the future. PIP has established a toll-free call center to answer questions about the incident and address related concerns. Call center representatives are available Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Mountain Time and can be reached at 855-291-2707.
The privacy and protection of personal and protected health information is a top priority for PIP. PIP deeply regrets any inconvenience or concern this incident may cause.
