Sentry named by Newsweek as a top workplace for women

STEVENS POINT, Wis., March 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Newsweekhas named Sentry Insurance one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Women in 2025. The recognition is based on one of the nation's largest independent employee studies, highlighting companies that provide a strong, supportive environment where women can thrive.
Sentry is one of just 21 insurance companies nationwide and one of 24 businesses in Wisconsin to make the list.
"Being recognized byNewsweekfor the second year in a row is a great reminder that the work we're doing to create a supportive, inclusive workplace is making a real impact," said Michael Cloud, Sentry's Chief Human Resources Officer. "Women make up more than half of our workforce, and their contributions are a huge part of what makes Sentry successful. We want to make sure they have the support, flexibility, and opportunities to grow their careers here."
Cloud credits the company's hybrid work week and partnerships with local colleges as key factors in Sentry's ability to attract and retain talent-not just women, but all employees across the board.
"Sentry is a place where women are equipped with the tools and opportunities to succeed," said Elisha Williams, Sentry's Chief Customer Service Operations Officer. "Throughout my career here, I've seen firsthand how the company fosters an environment where women can grow, lead, and make a real impact. It's empowering to work for a company that values our contributions and invests in our success."
How companies were chosen

Employers were evaluated on key factors such as workforce diversity management, sustainability practices, compensation and benefits, career development opportunities, work-life balance, company culture, and overall employee experience.
In partnership with Plant-A Insights Group, Newsweek surveyed more than 215,000 female employees across the U.S., collecting over 2.2 million company reviews to offer valuable insights into workplace experiences.
