SSK Plastic Surgery Notifies Clients of Data Security Incident

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., March 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- SSK Plastic Surgery ("SSK") was the target of a data security incident that resulted in some individuals' personal information being accessed. In an abundance of caution, SSK has taken steps to notify all potentially affected individuals and to provide resources to assist them.

Recently, SSK discovered that an unknown intruder gained access to some client information and attempted to extort SSK. Upon discovering this unauthorized access, SSK immediately notified law enforcement and moved quickly to contain the incident, engaging cybersecurity experts to conduct a thorough investigation, and taking steps to ensure the protection of individuals' personal information.

On January 13, 2025, SSK's investigation discovered that the unknown intruder accessed a limited number of documents which may have contained individuals' name, address, telephone number, email address, and limited health information, to include images, if provided for virtual consultation services. There were also a very limited number of Social Security numbers and driver's licenses provided to SSK.

The security of all information in its systems is taken very seriously, and SSK wants to assure everyone that there are already steps in place to prevent a reoccurrence, including increasing its security posture to address the continually evolving cybersecurity threat.

Notification letters mailed today include information about the incident and steps individuals can take to monitor and protect their personal information. SSK has also established a toll-free call center to answer questions about the incident and related concerns. The call center is available Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pacific time and can be reached at 1-866-497-8909.
