TOMORROW: UNFI TEAMSTERS TO PRACTICE PICKET IN ATLANTA

Teamsters Demand Fair Contract with Whole Foods Primary Distributor
ATLANTA, March 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 350 drivers and warehouse workers at United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI), represented by Teamsters Local 728, will hold a practice picket on Friday, March 7, demanding a fair first contract that recognizes their vital role in the company's success.
Workers at UNFI Atlanta voted overwhelmingly to join the Teamsters last year, but the company has dragged out negotiations and refused to present a reasonable contract offer. Friday's practice picket is a direct response to UNFI's delays and unwillingness to bargain in good faith.
UNFI is the largest distributor for Whole Foods in the United States. Since 2022, over 2,500 UNFI workers have voted to join the Teamsters, bringing the total to more than 5,000 Teamsters members across the company.
The Atlanta practice picket is one of four being held nationwide, with UNFI Teamsters in Florida and Illinois also demanding first contracts. If UNFI continues to stall, the company could face a work stoppage involving more than 1,250 workers across the country.
