UIA Launches "Ribbons of Resilience" Memorial to Mark Third Anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine

NEW YORK, Feb. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Marking the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Institute of America (UIA) has created Ribbons of Resilience, an interactive memorial providing a space in the heart of New York City's Museum Mile for community and supporters to come together in solidarity. The UIA invites all to take part in this public tribute, honoring the Ukrainian people's ongoing fight for sovereignty and freedom.

Through this installation, the UIA invites participants to contribute handwritten messages of respect and remembrance. Each message, accompanied by blue and yellow ribbons, will be attached to the fence outside the UIA's historic building at Fifth Avenue and 79th Street, serving as a public testament to Ukraine's unyielding spirit and a culture that refuses to be silenced.

In a show of international solidarity, the Consuls General of France, Germany and the Republic of Poland will visit the UIA on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11:30 AM to add their personal tributes to the Ribbons of Resilience installation.
