U.S. Navy Expands Use of Beacon Platform to Drive Efficiencies into Land-based Test Events

WALTHAM, Mass., March 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Navy has awarded Beacon a multi-year follow-on contract to continue delivering digital transformation of the operations, maintenance, andsustainment of land-based test sites. MISSILE, the Multiple Systems Status Information Logistics & Equipment digital platform directly addresses the U.S. Navy's need to coordinate multiple lines of high-value assets and processes in order to test and field emerging defense innovation.
Working in partnership with the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) at Wallops Island, VA, Beacon will deliveradditional capabilities to streamline configuration and management across extensive on-site test events and multiple integrated baselines, including both AEGIS and SSDS Combat Systems. This effort builds upon previous deliveries for SCSC at Wallops and will extend to other land-based test site resources across the Navy.
MISSILE is an implementation of the Beacon Platform, digital tools which close operational gaps and improve readiness visibility, enabling assets and edge workers across multiple DoD agencies to stay mission capable. The MISSILE digital platform enhances the ability of the U.S. Navy to rapidly advance critical technologies to meet ongoing ship construction needs. The outcome being a more resilient and capable Fleet, with U.S. Navy ships and sailors around the world kept at the frontline of innovation.
