Used Construction Equipment Inventory Levels Show Signs of Stabilization

LINCOLN, Neb., Oct. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- According to the newest Sandhills Globalmarket reports for used construction equipment, farm machinery, trucks, and trailers on Sandhills platforms in September, inventory levels are leveling out for both heavy-duty and medium-duty construction equipment. An upward trend in inventory levels also continued for used aerial lifts, forklifts, and telehandlers.

Used heavy-duty construction equipment values are still trending down at a steady rate, and used medium-duty equipment values have begun leveling out, posting modest monthly changes in September.

Inventory levels in this market decreased by 1.01% M/M and 9.22% YOY in September, adding to several consecutive months of a downward trend. Used 100- to 174-HP tractors constituted the category with the most impact, with inventory levels down 1.88% M/M and 17.98% YOY.
